The Court has been alerted to recent instances of scammers calling members of the public pretending to be representatives of the Court, a practice known as spoofing. Please be aware that the Court DOES NOT directly call members of the public who are parties in a case requesting information nor does it accept payment over the phone. Do not send any money or share personal information with unverified callers. You will not receive a legitimate call from the Supreme Court of Georgia requesting any kind of transfer of funds. Should you have a pending case, you also will have received written documentation from the Supreme Court of Georgia Clerk’s Office.

To speak directly with a Clerk’s Office staff member, you  may contact the Clerk’s Office (404-656-3470) during normal hours of operation (Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.).

If you believe you have received a scam call, you may report it to the Federal Trade Commission online at reportfraud.ftc.gov or by calling 1-877-382-4357. The FTC is the primary government agency that collects scam complaints. You may also report unwanted calls to the National Do Not Call Registry.
