The Supreme Court of Georgia is available for public group tours on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. and on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. until noon. To schedule your tour, please review the available dates and times in the calendar below:

The Supreme Court of Georgia welcomes visitors and provides an array of informational tours for students (grades 5-12) and adults. We welcome you to learn about the judicial branch of government.

PLEASE NOTE WHEN SCHEDULING:

  • We make every effort to accommodate visiting groups. To ensure an optimal experience, we recommend you schedule your tour at least three to four weeks in advance.
  • Currently, the maximum allowed tour group size is 35 participants, including chaperones.
  • You will receive an email acknowledging submission of your reservation form. This DOES NOT confirm your reservation. A representative of the Court’s Public Information Office will get in touch by email within three business days of your submission to confirm your tour and to ask about any special requests or accommodations.
  • Due to high demand, if your group arrives more than 15 minutes after the start of your scheduled tour, your tour may be canceled. If you need to reschedule or cancel your tour, we ask that you do so no later than 3 business days before your scheduled tour date. If you need to reschedule or cancel, or you have questions about your tour, please email ocasioe@gasupreme.us.

WHAT KINDS OF TOURS DO WE OFFER?

For Older Students and Adults (9th grade and up)

Courtroom Tour: This tour takes place in the Supreme Court Courtroom and educates visitors about the judicial branch, Georgia’s court system, the difference between trial and appellate courts and the role of the Justices and how they are selected. A tour guide is available to answer questions. This tour lasts approximately 45-60 minutes.

Courtroom Tour and the Mock Oral Argument Experience: In addition to touring the Courtroom, visitors may participate in a Mock Oral Argument. In this experience, visitors will act out an oral argument using a hypothetical case (provided by the Court). Students have the opportunity to be Justices, attorneys, and clerks. This tour lasts approximately 90 minutes.
