Atlanta, December 1, 2022 – The Supreme Court of Georgia, in conjunction with the Georgia Court of Appeals, has selected Lindsay Rehberg to serve as the Reporter of Decisions for the state’s appellate courts.

In this role, Rehberg will be responsible for preparing the opinions of the Supreme Court and Court of Appeals for publication. This process involves proofreading and editing opinions for legal and grammatical accuracy.

“Our courts are very fortunate to have someone with Lindsay’s experience and background in this important role,” said Chief Justice Michael P. Boggs.

Rehberg has been the Assistant Reporter of Decisions since April 2016, working under the former Reporter of Decisions, Jean Ruskell, who retired in November 2022. Rehberg started her appellate career as an intern in the Clerk’s Office of the Supreme Court of Georgia in January 2010 while also a second-year law student at Stetson University. After graduating from law school, she was hired on full-time in August 2011 and spent the next five years as a docket clerk and working as part of a team of staffers to develop the Court’s e-filing and online docketing system.

“Working at the Supreme Court for the past 12 years has been a privilege,” Rehberg said. “I thoroughly enjoy the work we do in the Reporter’s Office, and I am honored to be named the new Reporter of Decisions. One of the things I admire most about my predecessor, Mrs. Ruskell, is her dedication to the Supreme Court and Court of Appeals and to producing the best product possible. I intend to work every day to do the same.”

Rehberg, who is originally from Cottondale, Fla., has also worked for the Florida Supreme Court and holds a bachelor of arts in English Literature from Florida State University and an associate’s degree from Chipola College in Marianna, Fla.

Rehberg and her husband, Adam, reside in Conyers with their son, Henry, and are active members of Haven Fellowship Church.
