ATTORNEY ADMISSION INFORMATION
In Absentia Admission Information
Admission Form
Any member of the State Bar of Georgia may be admitted upon completion of the written application. The Court requires that your printed name, signature, bar number and the certification (signatures) of at least two attorneys who are current members of the Bar of this Court appear on the admission form. Any omitted or incorrect information will cause your admission application to be rejected. The admission fee is $30.00 payable to: Clerk, Supreme Court of Georgia.
Admissions take place on the mornings of oral argument, or in chambers by appointment, based on a Justice's availability. You do not have to contact the Supreme Court Clerk's Office to be admitted on an oral argument day, but you must bring (not mail) your admission form and fee to the office (244 Washington Street, Room 572) no later than 9:15 a.m. on the day you seek to be admitted. You can log onto our website at www.gasupreme.us for a list of oral argument dates.
Once your qualification for admission to this Court's Bar has been verified and accepted, you will be directed to the Supreme Court Courtroom (40 Capitol Square, 6th Floor, State Judicial Building) for the admission ceremony, which occurs immediately after the Court gavels the commencement of oral argument. Please note that professional attire is required for any admission conducted in the courtroom or in chambers. See Rule 55 (2) of the Rules of the Supreme Court.
Should you have any questions or desire to make an appointment for admission, contact us at 404-656-3470. I look forward to your membership in the Bar of this Court.
